About Global Host
Global Host was founded by what later became Designs Unfolding, LLC. By building out our architecture, we drastically raised revenues and provided Designs Unfolding with easier and more robust ways of developing websites and web applications. The resulting synergies between the two companies resulting in greatly increased revenues among both companies.
What we do
By working with the best data centers, and utilizing the best server software, we have built a scalable, flexible hosting environment that enables us to handle any size client with any needs. Being engineers by nature, our R&D team saw our architecture as the perfect building block to build great new services such as our award winning software platforms. Working with, rather than building out, data centers allows us to stay nimble and move in any direction the market needs.
We have the highest standards when it comes to data centers that we partner with. In order to do business with us, our global data center operators must pass the following criteria:
- SSAE 16 Audited
- Data centers and IP backbone operations are ISO 9001:2008 Certified & Registered
- Network SLA guarantees 100% uptime, no packet loss, and low latency both on our network and to our peers and tier-1 transits (tier 1 is the highest grade possible)
- AS-70 Type II Audited & Certified
- 24x7x365 closed-circuit, live video surveillance
- Biometric access
- Staffed 24x7x365 with experienced system & network engineers
- Mission critical tier 4 data center (highest grade possible)
Refunds are provided for hosting service within the first week of service. Domain names cannot be returned.
We are fully committed to our customers privacy. We never sell or lease your data. We also provide full transparency reporting and law enforcement guidelines. We are proud to have one of the most protective guidelines for privacy in the industry.
Global Host has never worked with any government agency, business, or person to divulge any information. We will never release any information about any of our clients unless the LEO guidelines are followed. While we strongly protect our users privacy, we do not condone any illegal activity on our servers and cancel any accounts engaging in such.
All of our server to server communications are fully encrypted. We provide 2048 bit SSL security on all of our corporate websites (such as mail.globalhostllc.com). All database connections are fully encrypted. All server to server communication takes place on our private back end network except when servers are in separate data centers. File transfers and backups to and from our servers must be over SFTP protocol (Secure FTP). We fully support STARTTLS for our mail server communications. Soon we will be requiring encryption on all mail clients and making all of our server to server communication encrypted.
We are fully committed to being as transparent as legally allowed by law. We value privacy, and have strict guidelines for law enforcement. We also publish everything we are legally allowed to.
A search warrant issued under the procedures described in the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure or equivalent state warrant procedures upon a showing of probable cause is required to compel the disclosure of the stored contents of any customer data, including web content, emails, and meta data.
